'Black Cat' covers the mesh and synthetic upper in flat black, carrying the tone through the N logo, the midsole and the outsole without a contrast break. A Stability Web shank spans the midfoot. The model arrived in 1999 as a stability trainer for overpronated runners, and the shank is the piece that controlled that motion through the arch.
