'Black Egret' sets black canvas against that varnished sole unit. Thicker laces than the standard high-top run through the eyelets, and a 1971 original All Star patch sits at the ankle. The varnish gives the rubber a slight sheen, so the off-white sole reads warmer than the canvas it wraps.
