Tokyo label Liberaiders worked with ASICS on this Gel-Kayano 12.1, rebuilding the structural upper in black suede with reflective material worked through the panels. Blue lining runs inside the collar, and the logo is applied asymmetrically rather than matched across both sides. Dual GEL cushioning and FLUIDRIDE, carried over from the Gel-Nimbus 17 tooling, sit underfoot. The suede takes the armor-inspired paneling away from the mesh construction the model usually carries.
