Pokémon x adidas Megaride F50 'Pikachu' Brings Electric Energy to the Anniversary Collection

Pokémon’s 30th anniversary is stretching across some of adidas’ most recognizable silhouettes, but Pikachu’s latest sneaker moves away from the classics. Instead of another Superstar or Pro Model, the franchise mascot is taking over the futuristic Megaride F50.

The result gives Pikachu an appropriately electric look. Black dominates the upper, creating a dark backdrop for bright yellow accents inspired by the character’s instantly recognizable color palette.

Lightning graphics travel across the upper while yellow Three Stripes provide additional contrast along the sides. A small Pikachu graphic near the heel makes the inspiration more explicit without overwhelming the sneaker’s technical design.

The black-and-yellow theme continues underneath with the Megaride cushioning system, giving the collaboration a noticeably different personality from the more traditional adidas models included in the anniversary collection.

Pikachu is not the only Pokémon taking on the Megaride F50. Rayquaza is also receiving its own version, expanding a collection that brings multiple characters and generations from the franchise into the adidas catalog.

The wider Pokémon x adidas collection began its global rollout on September 22, with additional sneakers scheduled to follow two days later. The lineup forms part of the celebration surrounding Pokémon’s 30th anniversary and spans several adidas footwear styles.
