Nike Kobe 10 Protro 'Mamba Invitational' PE Celebrates LA

Nike Basketball is celebrating Kobe Bryant’s legacy with an exclusive Kobe 10 Protro created for the next generation of basketball talent. The Nike Kobe 10 Protro 'Mamba Invitational' PE was given exclusively to players competing at the 2026 Mamba Invitational, held August 8–9 at Peacock Place at L.A. LIVE. The annual two-day showcase brings together some of the top youth and high school boys and girls basketball players for competition, special exhibits, and experiences centered around Kobe’s impact on the game.

This year’s Player Exclusive takes inspiration directly from Los Angeles. Designed around the sunsets seen during summer basketball in the city, the Kobe 10 transitions from golden yellow around the tongue and collar into vibrant orange and crimson across the upper and outsole.

Black Swooshes cut through the brighter palette, while Kobe’s Sheath logo appears on the tongues and right heel. Smaller details make the pair specific to this year’s event, including “2026” and “MM” tags alongside the Swooshes and an Old English-style “LA” graphic across the left heel.

Inside, “Mamba Invitational” branding appears across the insoles, further separating the sneaker from upcoming retail Kobe 10 Protro releases. Air Zoom cushioning completes the performance setup, allowing players to compete in a shoe built around the same performance-first philosophy that defined Kobe Bryant’s signature line.

The exclusive arrives as Nike prepares to bring the Kobe 10 back to retail through its Protro program. More than a decade after the original debuted in 2015, the updated silhouette introduces modern performance technology while maintaining the streamlined design that made the Kobe 10 a favorite among players.

For the athletes invited to compete in Los Angeles, however, this version will remain especially rare. The sunset-inspired 'Mamba Invitational' was created specifically for participants and is not scheduled for a public release.
