Mowalola x Air Jordan 14 Brings High Fashion to a Jordan Classic
Mowalola transforms the Jordan 14 for her debut.ByAaron ShamimSep 11, 2026

The Air Jordan 14 was famously shaped by Michael Jordan’s love of Ferrari, but Mowalola Ogunlesi is taking the luxury-inspired silhouette somewhere entirely different. For her first Jordan Brand collaboration, the British-Nigerian designer reworks the model through her own dark, experimental design language.
First unveiled during Paris Fashion Week, the Mowalola x Air Jordan 14 centers around what the designer describes as a “Chocolatey Brown” finish. Smooth brown leather replaces the suede construction associated with releases like the “Ferrari,” while a subtle tartan pattern is embedded throughout the material.

Burnt Red accents emerge against the darker foundation, joined by glossy black detailing across the sneaker. The combination gives the Jordan 14 a moodier appearance while maintaining the sleek proportions that have defined the silhouette since its original debut.
Mowalola also makes several significant changes to the model’s familiar branding. Her script logo runs along the lateral side, while a faded plaid treatment wraps around the heel. Inside, red plaid continues across a black lining to reinforce the tartan theme.
One of the Jordan 14’s most recognizable details has been replaced entirely. The traditional Ferrari-inspired shield badge on the lateral side gives way to a circular Mowalola emblem, placing the designer’s identity directly into one of the silhouette’s signature design elements.

That personalization continues into the packaging. Artwork underneath the box lid depicts a shadowy version of Mowalola trapped within an enclosed space. According to the designer, opening the box is intended to represent revealing another part of herself, turning the packaging into an extension of the collaboration rather than simply a container for the sneaker.
The project will also extend beyond the traditional Jordan 14, with a matching Air Jordan 14 Mule scheduled to arrive alongside the main sneaker. The Mowalola x Air Jordan 14 releases September 18, 2026, overseas, followed by an expected September 25 U.S. release. The sneaker will retail for $255 USD.
