Look Back: Kevin Durant Signature Sneakers Through the Years

The NBA season has been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. Even the Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has tested positive for COVID-19. “Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine. We’re going to get through this,” he told The Athletic.

Durant has been outstanding since his student period. However, unlike LeBron James, he didn’t have his own signature shoe when he was first in the league. Luckily, Kevin Durant still got a few customized shoes in the Rookie season. Later, he began to use his initials as his signature, and has become part of Nike’s main force.

Kevin Durant is a talented player, but the basketball journey isn’t an easy one. While we all hope he regains the spark we all know soon, let’s take time to look at a few of his signature KD models.

Nike KD 7

In 2014, Durant was named the 2014 NBA MVP. Nike KD7, debuted in the same year, hasn’t disappointed anyone. Featuring Hyperposite shield and Nike Zoom technology, the KD 7 offers the player maximum comfort and support.

Nike KD 8

KD 8 is Durant’s 8th signature shoe, featuring full-length Zoom Air unit’s premium cushioning and locked-in comfort. The FlyWeave upper also allows light, flexible support.

Nike KD 9

Durant always finds ways to score, and KD 9’s sock-like Flyknit forefoot allows more breathability, stretch and support he needs. The locked-down support and extreme responsiveness are also highlights.

Nike KD 10

Versatile and responsive = two words we can think of when talking about KD10. Combining Zoned Flyknit and Nike Zoom Air cushioning, it has all the breathability and responsiveness you want.

Nike KD 11

Flyknit, lock-in support, Zoom Air cushioning all remains, but KD11 also adds responsive Nike React foam into the design, making the kicks perfect for a plush and bouncy ride.

Nike KD 12

With the support of Quad Axial Flywire cables, KD 12 is perfect for players like Durant – reserved yet explosive. The midsole was removed to move space for full-length Nike Air Zoom, maximizing ultra-responsive cushioning.

Nike KD 13

Designed with a full-length Zoom Air unit and another extra  Zoom Air unit on the forefoot, KD 13 can give you all the responsiveness and energy return you want. The upper is also made of minimal materials to keep it lightweight.
