When it comes to fly footwear, no one does it better than Ye. Since the very first Adidas Yeezys debuted in 2013, sneakerheads around the world have fought for the chance to own a pair of these iconic kicks.

Almost nine years later, we're still talking about them, and Kanye is still busy creating new Yeezy styles. If you want to add a few to your collection, then it helps to know all of your options. Today, we're sharing a quick guide to the different types of Yeezys we've loved throughout the years!

Yeezy Boost 750

What do you get when you combine two fashion powerhouses? The Yeezy Boost 750 is the show-stopping outcome of a collaboration between Kanye West and Adidas.

This partnership was first announced back in December 2013. Before then, Ye had collaborated with Nike on the Air Yeezys in 2009. The first Adidas/Ye sneaker was the Yeezy Boost 750, designed in the Light Brown colorway.

The collection was limited to only 9,000 pairs and they sold out almost immediately. Until the end of February 2014, wearers could only find Yeezy Boost 750s through exclusive retailers.

Yeezy Boost 350

Not long thereafter, the Yeezy Boost 350 debuted worldwide. This sneaker offered a new level of both comfort and style, featuring Primeknit materials, midsole cushioning, and stylish, translucent side straps.

Wearers love the timeless design of the 350s, as well as their stretchy composition and excellent fit. The second version, known as Yeezy Boost 350 V2 debuted in September 2016 in the Beluga colorway.

Yeezy 950

Like the Yeezy Boost 750s, the Yeezy 950 collection was very limited in nature. First released in October 2015, it was only available via certain online and brick-and-mortar retailers. Included as part of the Yeezy Season 1 collection, it included four colorways:

  • Moonrock
  • Peyote
  • Pirate Black
  • Chocolate

With this particular Adidas collaboration, Ye revealed that he could design different types of name brand shoes than just sneakers. The Yeezy 950s were designed more like traditional duck boots than sports shoes. Since the original release, there have not been any updates or new versions.

Yeezy 500

Released in December 2017, the Yeezy 500 debuted in a neutral colorway called Desert Rat. This line is a little chunkier, and it's ideal for those days when you want your feet to make a statement.

The design of the Yeezy 500s is both innovative and forward-thinking. The upper contains such high-performing materials as lycra, cow suede, and premium leather for the perfect fit, every time. You'll also find special attention to detail in these shoes, as evidenced by the reflective material around the eyelets, which aids in low-light visibility.

If you're looking for the perfect running shoe, then you'll love the adiPRENE+ cushioning found in the Yeezy 500s. This material is impact-absorbing and unbelievably comfortable. You'll also appreciate the gum outsole, which provides excellent traction and overall stability.

Yeezy Boost 700

Kanye released the Yeezy Boost 700 during a fashion show in 2017. These kicks feature a premium leather upper with suede overlays to appeal to the fashion-forward athleisure aficionado. Other special touches include a reflective heel, trademark "three stripe" details, and full-length Boost midsole.

In March 2019, Adidas released the Yeezy Boost 700 V2 colorway called Geode. Proceeds from this specific line were applied to help raise money for the National Alliance of Mental Illness. The V3 line debuted in December 2019, followed by the MNVN line in February 2020.

The first Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN colorway was an all-dark colorway called Triple Black. All of these sneakers are designed to support all-day wear and maximum comfort, whether you're hitting the gym or tackling the school pickup line.

Yeezy Slides

When Yeezy Slides first hit the shelves in December 2019, people didn't know what to think. On one hand, the EVA foam was insanely comfortable, but people had mixed reviews on the shoe's futuristic look. In fact, some people even mocked the design on social media.

Still, although the debut wasn't met with the same immediate success as the other lines, it wasn't long before the slides caught on. Now, you'll find them in the most elite circles, stashed poolside along with designer totes and sunglasses. They're durable and flexible, while still being comfy and timeless.

The first Yeezy Slide colorway was known as Bone, and it continues to be a top seller to this day.

Yeezy QNTM

Originally designed for professional basketball players, the Yeezy QNTM line is an all-suede shoe that's ideal for a range of activities. The reflective material makes it ideal for nighttime, while the premium upper wraps your foot in style and quality.

Though these are some of the softest and most supple Yeezy sneakers, they're also surprisingly durable and long-lasting. Featuring re-designed cushioning that supports jumping and running, they're great for athletes but perfect for everyday wear. The debut Quantum colorway is a classic shoe that's sure to be in heavy rotation in your closet.

Yeezy Foamrunner

If you've never slipped on a pair of Yeezy Foamrunner sneakers, then you don't know what you're missing. Designed by Ye himself, these shoes are truly one of a kind. The first thing you might notice is the absence of laces, followed by the unique outer material.

Made partially of algae, these shoes feature the same EVA foam you'll find in the slides. They slip onto your feet with ease and when they've reached the end of their lives, you can even recycle them! Though the original Arat colorway remains wildly popular, other designs and colors are catching up.

You can wear these all day long and never worry about your feet overheating, thanks to special cut-out sides and a lightweight construction.

While we love the original Yeezy styles, we're eagerly awaiting anything new that Ye will put out. Everything the superstar touches becomes an instant best-seller, and these sneakers are no exception.
