Vini Jr. Unveils First Nike Mercurial Player Edition Boot

Nike is celebrating Vini Jr.’s rise with his very first Player Edition of the iconic Mercurial football boot. True to the Brazilian star’s electric presence on the pitch and his expressive style, the Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite Vini Jr. PE is defined by one word: bold. The design is a visual tribute to his journey from Rio de Janeiro’s youth pitches to Champions League glory, blending vibrant color gradients with performance-driven innovation.

The boot’s medial side fades from red to yellow in honor of Vini Jr.’s early days at Flamengo, while the lateral panels feature blue, green, and yellow tones that represent the Brazilian national team. The phrase “Vini Fly, Vini Voa” repeats across the upper, nodding to his breakneck pace, and the design also pays homage to Rio’s colorful kite culture. A sleek black Nike Gripknit upper enhances the vibrant detailing, while an oversized Swoosh inspired by Nike’s fastest running shoes — Vaporfly and Alphafly — drives home the boot’s speed-focused identity.
