Steph Curry and Under Armour Officially End Partnership

Stephen Curry and Under Armour have officially announced that Curry Brand will separate from the company, ending a partnership that has defined athlete-led innovation and community impact for over a decade. Under Armour will continue developing its core basketball products, while Curry Brand becomes fully independent, giving Curry control to shape its own future. The Curry 13 will serve as the final UA collaboration, releasing in February 2026, with additional colorways and apparel available through October 2026.

Steph Curry and Under Armour Officially End Partnership

Launched in 2020, Curry Brand quickly became more than a signature shoe line, blending elite performance technology with meaningful community initiatives, including youth sports programs and Project Rampart expansion in Oakland. Kevin Plank, Under Armour founder and CEO, praised Curry’s leadership, calling the partnership “rare” for its credibility, impact, and high-performing products. Curry echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the brand’s mission to “change the game for kids, for communities, and for basketball,” while celebrating the opportunity to grow independently.

Both sides see the split as a win. Under Armour can sharpen its focus on innovation and performance across all athletes, while Curry Brand gains the freedom to scale aggressively and pursue its own vision. As Curry steps out solo, the move signals a new chapter not just for the brand, but for the broader sneaker and basketball landscape — one where athlete-driven companies can shape culture on their own terms.
