Procell Gives the Nike Total 90 a Vintage 'Heirloom' Twist

Procell is bringing a new perspective to the Nike Total 90 III with the collaborative 'Heirloom' edition. As Nike continues pushing the Total 90 beyond its original football roots, the silhouette is moving deeper into lifestyle territory through a project that leans heavily into texture and archival-inspired design.

Rather than applying a simple color swap, Procell reshapes the character of the model through material choices and muted tones. The upper features a boucle-inspired finish that blends earthy brown, green, and burnt orange shades together, giving the sneaker a more aged and vintage appearance while still preserving the bold profile associated with the Total 90 line.

Black details provide contrast throughout the shoe, appearing on the laces, mini Swooshes, side branding, and oversized “90” logo along the medial side. A dark brown heel panel introduces another subtle shift in tone while carrying embossed Procell branding, helping reinforce the collaborative identity without overwhelming the overall design.

The lower half takes a more restrained approach. A white midsole balances the heavier upper textures and color combinations, while a black outsole keeps the foundation grounded. A small green Swoosh underneath adds a final detail that connects back to the upper’s palette.

The collaboration also highlights Nike’s continued effort to reposition football-inspired silhouettes into everyday fashion spaces. Rather than functioning as a straightforward retro release, projects like this give classic performance models a new identity through lifestyle storytelling and updated design approaches.
