Nike’s Seasonal Air Force 1 Series Blooms Again

Nike is bringing another nature-inspired twist to its seasonal Air Force 1 lineup with the upcoming Air Force 1 Low 'Sunflower.' Following releases such as the 'Autumn Leaves' and 'Cherry Blossom,' the latest installment celebrates one of late summer’s most recognizable blooms.

The concept revolves around a removable floral shroud that transforms the iconic silhouette into something far more playful. Attached through the lacing system, the cover wraps around the shoe with vibrant sunflower graphics that vary from angle to angle, creating the effect of walking through a field of blooming flowers.

Unlike simple printed patterns, Nike adds more depth to the design through jagged yellow petals that mimic the natural imperfections of real sunflowers. Brown centers and subtle green accents further enhance the botanical theme, giving the removable layer a realistic appearance.

Beneath the floral covering lies a much more understated sneaker. Instead of the suede used on previous entries in the collection, Nike opts for canvas construction in earthy khaki and beige tones. White leather Swooshes provide contrast, while cream-colored laces and tan Nike branding maintain the shoe's soft and natural palette.

Underfoot, a brown gum outsole completes the design and ties together both personalities of the shoe. With the shroud removed, the Air Force 1 resembles a versatile canvas lifestyle sneaker. Reattach the sunflower layer, and it transforms into one of Nike Sportswear's more whimsical seasonal offerings.

This duality has become a signature feature of Nike's recent Air Force 1 seasonal collection. Previous editions inspired by cherry blossoms and autumn foliage used similar removable elements, allowing wearers to customize the look depending on the season or their personal style.

The 'Sunflower' edition continues that formula while bringing a brighter and more cheerful aesthetic into the lineup. It's another example of how Nike continues to reinvent one of its most iconic silhouettes through creative storytelling rather than drastic redesigns. The Nike Air Force 1 Low 'Sunflower' is expected to release during Fall 2026. Retail pricing is set at $125 USD.
