Kyrie Irving Debuts New ANTA KAI 1 'Garden State' Release

As the Dallas Mavericks make new changes this offseason, NBA star Kyrie Irving and performance footwear brand ANTA will release a new KAI 1 colorway on KICKS CREW. This latest 'Garden State' colorway is a tribute to Irving's hometown and the greenery found within it.

The Dallas Mavericks star invested in KICKS CREW in December 2023 and assumed the role of Chief Community Officer. KICKS CREW is now an additional home for Kyrie Irving’s signature product line, with the ‘Garden State’ colorway marking the fifth release on the global marketplace.

Crafted with an aerodynamic design that mirrors Kyrie Irving’s gravity-defying movements and crossovers, the KAI 1 is now arriving in a new monochromatic design. The KAI 1 ‘Garden State’ pays tribute to Kyrie’s hometown of New Jersey. The colorway features a jade-green design, representing the lush greenery that can be found throughout the region, which played a pivotal role in Kyrie’s upbringing.

The KAI 1 is built with the latest cutting-edge technology from ANTA, designed to enhance performance and comfort. Key features include an aerodynamic upper that mirrors Irving's gravity-defying movements, a forefoot lockdown strap for a customizable fit and midfoot stability, and a TPU sidewall that works in tandem with the forefoot lockdown strap for extra lockdown support. The carbon fiber midfoot plate ensures torsional rigidity, reducing the risk of injury while providing energy return. At the same time, the nitroedge midsole cushion offers immediate energy return and comfort for extended play. Lastly, the rubber threaded outsole, inspired by Irving's tribal roots, supports smooth heel-to-toe transitions and provides excellent traction for immediate stops.
