Fragment x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 'Sport Royal' Revealed

Hiroshi Fujiwara—often hailed as the godfather of Japanese streetwear—was recently spotted in New York City wearing a never-before-seen pair: the Fragment Design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 'Sport Royal.' Slated for a Spring 2026 release, the sneaker marks a new installment in Chris Gibbs’ ongoing series of hybrid Jordan 1s, blending multiple OG colorways into one elevated, deconstructed look. 

This latest iteration features a 'Royal' base from the 1985 classic, paired with a white/navy upper constructed in extra-hairy suede. The shoe also comes pre-aged with yellowed midsoles, cracked leather, and exposed sponge interiors to emphasize its vintage-inspired aesthetic. Following the massive success of previous Union x Jordan collaborations, this 'Sport Royal' release adds another layer of design storytelling by incorporating Fujiwara’s Fragment Design touch—subtle and iconic. While official images and full release details remain under wraps, the pair seen on Fujiwara closely mirrors earlier leaks and live runway sightings.
