Cade Cunningham is continuing to expand his relationship with Nike through a new player-exclusive version of the Nike ST Charge called 'Detroit Tough.' The colorway draws directly from the identity of the Detroit Pistons and reflects the tougher, blue-collar image often tied to the city itself.

The sneaker first surfaced during 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend, where Cunningham gave fans an early preview of the rugged outdoor-inspired silhouette. Now, the player-exclusive colorway is officially preparing for release with a palette rooted in Detroit’s classic red, white, and blue team colors.

A white reinforced mesh upper forms the base of the design, while translucent icy blue TPU overlays wrap around the toe, sidewalls, heel, and portions of the midsole. That layered structure gives the ST Charge a more armored and durable appearance compared to traditional basketball sneakers.

Additional details continue the Detroit theme throughout the shoe. Red and blue laces tie directly back to Pistons colors, while metallic silver Swoosh accents and silver eyelets sharpen the overall presentation. Cunningham’s embroidered No. 2 appears on the heel pull tab, and his “CC” logo lands on the tongue as another personalized touch.

The release also feels significant within Cunningham’s growing Nike profile. While he has not officially launched a signature model yet, branding details like the “CC” logo continue hinting at bigger plans for his future within Nike Basketball.
