Ronnie Fieg And New Balance Unveil The All-New 2011 Silhouette
A new chapter begins for Kith and New Balance.ByAaron ShamimJun 23, 2026

Few partnerships in modern sneaker culture have been as influential as the one between Ronnie Fieg and New Balance. After nearly 100 collaborations across the last 15 years, the two are entering a new era together with the introduction of the New Balance 2011.
Unlike previous projects that reimagined existing models, the 2011 represents something entirely different. It is the first original New Balance silhouette developed in collaboration with Fieg, making it one of the most significant milestones in the history of the Kith and New Balance relationship.
Created alongside longtime New Balance designer Sam Pearce, the 2011 blends familiar New Balance performance DNA with a fresh design language. The shoe sits atop an ABZORB-cushioned sole unit inspired by the popular New Balance 2002, a platform that has also served as the foundation for newer silhouettes such as the 1890 and 1954R.

Above that sits a layered upper featuring a mix of suede, leather, and mesh. The construction feels familiar to longtime New Balance fans while introducing new proportions and paneling that help establish the 2011 as its own identity rather than simply another retro-inspired runner.
The name itself carries special meaning. "2011" marks the year Kith first opened its doors, launching what would eventually become one of the most influential retail and lifestyle brands in the world. According to Fieg, the shoe's broader concept reflects Kith's evolution over the last decade and a half.

That story is represented through a growth metaphor, comparing the company’s journey to a sapling developing into a fully grown tree. The theme extends across launch colorways such as 'Leaf Green' and 'Sakura Flower,' both of which symbolize different stages of growth and transformation.
The introduction of the 2011 also signals a deeper level of collaboration between Kith and New Balance. Rather than revisiting archive models, the two partners are now building entirely new products together, further solidifying one of the most successful relationships in footwear.
After helping shape sneaker culture through countless collaborations, Ronnie Fieg and New Balance are proving there is still room to create something entirely new. The New Balance 2011 debuts on June 26, 2026, at Kith West Hollywood. A wider release will follow on June 29, 2026.
