Caitlin Clark Unveils New Kobe 5 'Midwest Lakes' PE
Another exclusive Kobe joins Clark’s collection.ByAaron ShamimJun 09, 2026

Caitlin Clark continues to expand her impressive lineup of Nike Kobe player exclusives. During a recent practice session, Clark debuted a previously unseen Nike Kobe 5 PE dubbed 'Midwest Lakes,' adding another chapter to her growing connection with the Kobe line.
Inspired by the lakes and landscapes of the American Midwest, the colorway serves as a tribute to the region that helped shape Clark before her rise to stardom at the University of Iowa and eventually the WNBA. The design reflects both her roots and the environment that played a role in her basketball journey.
The sneaker features a layered blue color palette throughout the upper. Light blue shades dominate the base, while brighter synthetic overlays create contrast across the silhouette. Darker royal blue accents appear on the collar, Swoosh, and surrounding details, giving the shoe a cool-toned look that evokes the icy waters and winter landscapes often associated with the Midwest.

The 'Midwest Lakes' PE joins an already impressive list of Caitlin Clark-exclusive Kobe colorways. Over the past year, Clark has showcased a variety of special editions, including Indiana Fever-inspired pairs, a 'Rookie of the Year' Kobe 5, and even a unique Scrabble-themed design. Each release has helped strengthen her connection to the Kobe legacy while fans continue to anticipate her eventual signature line with Nike.
With Clark expected to receive her own signature sneaker in the near future, these player exclusives may represent the final chapter of her extensive Kobe PE collection. Even so, Nike continues to create personalized designs that celebrate different aspects of her story and career.
At this time, the Nike Kobe 5 'Midwest Lakes' remains a player exclusive and is not expected to receive a public release.
