Air Jordan 4 'Linen' Returns in 2027

Long before softer, neutral colorways became a major part of sneaker culture, the Air Jordan 4 'Linen' offered a very different interpretation of Michael Jordan’s fourth signature shoe. Jordan Brand is bringing that look back in Summer 2027, reviving the clean white and sand-colored Air Jordan 4 more than 20 years after it first appeared.

The 'Linen' has always stood apart from the darker and more aggressive color combinations commonly associated with the Air Jordan line. White leather creates the foundation, while warm Linen accents appear across the eyelets, heel, and midsole. Small hits of light blue on the Jumpman branding give the otherwise neutral sneaker its defining touch of color.

Its history is also different from many of the Air Jordan 4s that regularly return to shelves. The 'Linen' wasn't an original Michael Jordan-era colorway. It debuted in 2006 as a women's release, extending the Air Jordan 4 into a palette far removed from the Bulls-inspired looks that helped establish the model. More than a decade later, Jordan Brand brought the colorway back in 2017, but only in grade school sizing. That left plenty of collectors without an opportunity to pick up the retro.

This time, the 'Linen' will return in women's sizing while maintaining the understated appearance that made the original memorable. The sneaker is also expected to use Jordan Brand's newer Air Jordan 4 shape, which has been refined to more closely resemble the proportions of earlier pairs. Jumpman branding is expected to remain on the heel rather than Nike Air, keeping the release connected to the post-OG identity of the 'Linen.'

With neutral Air Jordans now occupying a much larger place in sneaker rotations, the 'Linen' feels particularly suited for a comeback. What was once an unconventional take on the Air Jordan 4 now fits naturally into the modern Jordan Brand lineup. The Air Jordan 4 'Linen' releases June 5, 2027, and will retail for $220 USD.
