Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro 'Electric Green' Debuts at Mamba Invitational

Nike Basketball gave fans another look at the future of the Kobe Protro line during the 2026 Mamba Invitational in Los Angeles. Top-ranked 2027 prospect Beckham Black debuted the Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro 'Electric Green' on court during the event, showcasing a vibrant colorway that has already drawn comparisons to the legendary Kobe 'Grinch' palette.

Electric Green dominates the sneaker, creating the bright neon appearance associated with some of the most recognizable Kobe releases. Stadium Green adds depth throughout the design, while the distinctive molded construction of the Kobe 3 Low gives the familiar color combination a completely different look.

The sneaker was also displayed as part of Nike Basketball and the Kobe Bryant Estate’s “Droppin’ Gems” campaign. Several Kobe 3 Low Protro colorways connected to the project have surfaced over the past year, with each drawing inspiration from gemstones and minerals while incorporating words from Kobe Bryant.

For the 'Electric Green' edition, Nike selected a quote centered around preparation and Kobe’s relentless approach to controlling the outcome: “Without studying, preparation, and practice, you’re leaving the outcome to fate. I don’t do fate.” The message captures the mentality behind the wider collection, connecting each design back to the principles that defined Bryant’s approach to basketball and life.

Its appearance at the Mamba Invitational also gives the release a fitting introduction. The annual Los Angeles event brings together some of the best young basketball players while celebrating Kobe’s influence on the next generation, making it a natural stage for one of Nike Basketball’s upcoming Kobe releases.

While the Electric Green and Stadium Green palette will inevitably remind fans of the famous 'Grinch,' its connection to the “Droppin’ Gems” project gives the Kobe 3 Low its own story within the expanding Protro lineup.
